Do you charge a fee to register a child?
We do not charge fees to register. We accept donations.
Do we have to pay for picnics or other events?
Not necessarily but we expect parents and guardians to come along with picnic items for their children.
Who bears the cost of medical treatment if necessary?
Parents and guardians would bear any medical bills in the event a child falls sick while in the camp. But Lighthouse takes utmost care for the health and wellbeing of anyone on our facilities.
Is Lighthouse for Autism a registered NGO?
Yes, we are.
Can we bring alcohol to consume at the family picnics?
Absolutely not allowed.
Who owns Lighthouse for Autism?
Lighthouse for Autism is the brain child of Ms. Margaret Egbe who is a proud mother of an autistic child. The birth of Sammy changed her life and her entire outlook to life. Her travails and experience with looking after a child in the autism spectrum encouraged her to set up Lighthouse where parents like her can bring their autistic children to a friendly environment devoid of stigmas and untoward societal behaviours. The centre affords both children and parents a conducive atmosphere to relax, have fun and socialise.
