Parent Partnership
The truth about taking a community to raise a child stands, we must focus on parental and family involvement in order to help the child help themselves through life. To this end, the views, wishes and feelings of the child or young person, and the child’s parents are important.
Parent participation and involvement in matters relating to their children is necessary. This can never be over emphasised or down played. Parents are expected to participate as fully as possible in decisions, information sharing between the center and parents.
Our approach is more family-centred, with family needs driving workshops and training requirements. Our focus is on meaningful engagements with parents to achieve this.
Apart from parents participation, it’s important that key people in the child’s life should become more knowledgeable about the child’s condition and needs.
Workshops and Training
This is a key for effective participation by all parties where ideas and information are exchanged and strategies and support mechanisms discussed.
Parents and other key participants in the child’s life can use this opportunity to gain better knowledge of various conditions and issues on Autism.
